How will an artillery differ from a mortar team? In game, gameplay wise. You have to consider what point will these things you've suggested serve. If player can only train infantry, transport car and traditional artillery at the start and have to research, build industry or buy weapon and equipment from superpowers, the game will be much realistic and require more strategy from player. That is where the relation with superpowers become important: we have to keep good relation with USA, Russia and China not only to get aid from them but because the are the best weapon sellers, we can buy from them when our industry is still weak. Finally, how can a country with weak industry at the start of the game like Basenji can access to tank and helicopter and SAM rocket so easily? It is so unrealistic, many powerful nation like India, Korea, Turkey, Egypt still have to buy tank, plane and SAM from others. Transport vehicle can pick up and deploy both infantry and civil agent, but only the armored one can fight. Instead of have a single type, they can be divided into transport car/helicopter, light armored transport car and heavy tank/helicopter. Tank and helicopter unit can also be rebuild. In fact you can delete mortal unit and instead create "mortal" equipment. Those equipment cost money and need to be research but will give the unit new abilities. The equipment can be camouflage suit, anti-tank gun, anti-air rocket, engineer gear to build trench or mine field, scout UAV, etc. Secondly, the way infantry fight can be improve by add a action call "send equipment". and rocket artillery, which is a better version of mortal. Please add some type of actual artillery like traditional artillery, mobilized artillery, which can't move and fire at the same time like other units. It is a key unit and you can't build a modern army without them. Firstly, mortal is good but artillery is much better. I played the demo and it really nice except some lag, however the combat units can be improve.
